Plane Lands at Dulles With Engine Trouble

A plane that reportedly lost power in one engine lands safely at Dulles International Airport. Chopper4 was on the scene when the plane made the landing.

A plane landed at Dulles International Airport with engine trouble Wednesday afternoon.

The United Express flight took off from Dulles about 4 p.m. After takeoff, there was an engine problem. The pilot declared an emergency and shut off one of the engines.

Firefighters were awaiting the plane when it landed safely back at Dulles after 4:40 p.m.

The plane was checked out on the runway and then taxied back to the gate.

No injuries were reported. There's no word on a cause of the malfunction.
