A shooting at a mall in Dulles, Virginia, Sunday, injured one person and caused the mall to close midday, authorities say.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office was called to a shooting at the Dulles Town Center at about noon, Sheriff Michael Chapman said at a press conference. The mall is located at 21100 Dulles Town Circle.
When deputies arrived, they found the victim, a 21-year-old man, walking out of the mall, Chapman said. He had been shot in the stomach area, received blood in an ambulance and was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Chief Keith Johnson said.
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Alan Colie, of Leesburg, was found in the food court sitting on the floor next to his gun, Chapman said. He was taken into custody.

Three additional people and the suspect were evaluated but did not go to the hospital, Johnson said.
