Paid Parking on the National Mall Begins Monday

Free parking has come to an end for some areas along the National Mall. Now, drivers will have to pay $2 an hour to park along the National Park Service roads on the National Mall, which includes popular parking spots like Ohio Drive. The idea is to encourage turnover of limited parking spaces and to encourage people to use public or alternative transportation. And it will also raise money for the Mall.
