55-Plus and Unemployed? D.C. Wants You

D.C. Department of Employment Services is hosting a hiring event

If you are an unemployed D.C. resident and at least 55 years old, city officials in the nation's capital want you.

The D.C. Department of Employment Services is hosting a mature workers hiring event Thursday at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in northwest Washington from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The agency said it is the first in a series of hiring events to help one of the fastest growing populations -- seniors.
