Pentagon Police Officer Remains in Jail After Deadly Double Shooting

The off-duty Pentagon police officer charged in the fatal shooting of two men will remain in police custody. David Dixon appeared before a judge Monday on two counts of second-degree murder. He told investigators he saw a group of men trying to break into a car in Takoma Park. Dixon said he ordered them to stop and that the men tried to run him over and that’s when he fired into the car.
