A Southeast D.C. man suspected of opening fire in a busy mall in Northern Virginia last weekend turned himself in Wednesday, police said.
Noah Settles, a 22-year-old rapper who performs as “No Savage,” surrendered to police after the gunfire in the Tysons Corner Center mall on Saturday afternoon.
He had been wanted on charges including attempted malicious wounding, discharging a weapon into an occupied building and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
“He recklessly discharged a firearm on the second floor of Tysons. It was a crowded, beautiful Saturday afternoon,” Fairfax County Chief of Police Kevin Davis said at a news conference Thursday.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Settles has an attorney.
Surveillance footage shared by police shows a man pointing a handgun inside the mall as groups of people holding shopping bags walk by.
No one was shot, but three people were taken to hospitals after being injured as they ran away in fear, police said.

“The shooting sent patrons and employees throughout the mall fleeing for the exits. Others sheltered in place and feared the worse,” Lt. Ryan Lazisky, assistant commander of the Major Crimes Bureau, said Thursday. “[…] This situation could have been a lot worse.”
Settles appears to have been in a group of four or five people who got in a fight with another group of four or five people, Lazisky said. Suddenly, Settles pulled out the gun and fired three shots, the lieutenant said.
He and others then fled in a car, in a moment that also was caught on surveillance footage, police said.
The groups are part of warring “crews” in Southeast D.C., investigators said they believe.
“Resorting to firearms to settle a petty dispute is what gets us here today,” Davis said.
