New Virginia law prevents rapists from claiming parental rights

Virginia is one of two states in which a rapist can try to claim parental rights to a child born of the sexual assault, but last week, Gov. Glenn Youngkin signed a law to change that. Northern Virginia Bureau Chief Julie Carey spoke to the sex assault survivor and mother who worked for years to get the measure approved.
