3 shot on Columbia Pike in Arlington on Halloween night

NBC Universal, Inc. Three teenage boys were shot in a parking lot of an Arlington apartment complex on Halloween night, and two are in critical condition. News4’s Paul Wagner reports.

Three people were badly injured in a shooting on Halloween night in Arlington, Virginia, police said.

Arlington County police responded to the 4300 block of Columbia Pike, near South Glebe Road, about 11 p.m. Thursday.

They found two shooting victims in critical condition and a third with serious injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening, police said. The three victims were taken to hospitals.

Evidence indicated multiple weapons were used and as many as 45 shots fired.

Multiple cars also were struck by gunfire.

It's unclear what lead to the gunfire.

Dogs and a police helicopter were used to search the area. Several people were detained, but no one has been arrested.
