Meet more than 100 authors – from “The Kite Runner” author Khaled Hosseini to Linda Ronstadt, and from Margaret Atwood to Christopher Buckley – at the Library of Congress’ National Book Festival that will take place this weekend on the National Mall.
The yearly festival brings together more than 100 authors and poets on the National Mall. In addition to hearing authors speak and signing books, visitors can browse through books for sale. There are also crafts and events for kids, and visitors can learn about reading programs in libraries all across the country.
The festival is free and open to the public. It will be held on the National Mall between 9th and 14th Streets on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
