One person has died and another is in critical condition after a stabbing in Ashburn, Virginia, Friday night, police say.

Police arrived to the Ashburn Meadows apartment complex at 44492 Whitford Square about 6:15 p.m. after a child saw a man who was bloody come out of a wooded area, Loudoun County Sheriff Michael Chapman said.

Officers found a 19-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

He was airlifted to a local hospital and was in critical condition, police said Friday night.
