Mock Cop Makes Traffic Stop

Seeing is not believing when it comes to police officers in Md.

Maryland authorities are looking for a man who pulled over a driver by impersonating a police officer and took off with her license.

A 20-year-old woman told police the man pulled her over on Route 15 in Frederick, Md., at approximately 11:15 a.m. Saturday. He drove a black Dodge Charger with no markings and turned on what appeared to be police lights.

The woman gave the man her license and registration. But when she asked him which police department he worked for, the man walked back to his car, got in and drove away. The problem is, he took the woman’s driver’s license with him.

The victim immediately called the real cops to report the problem. Maryland State Police are now looking for a tall, stocky man with a short, military-type hairstyle.
