The Washington, D.C. metro area is in for a hot Memorial Day weekend with periods of sunshine and some chances for rain.
Saturday will also be mostly sunny with low humidity and highs around 80 degrees, perfect for a family trip to the beach. Those further west, near the Blue Ridge mountains and the Shenandoah, can expect some afternoon showers and thunderstorms, but D.C. and the Chesapeake Bay have much lower chances.
Temperatures will stay a little cooler on the beach.
Sunday will be very humid, with sweltering afternoon highs above 90 degrees. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible Sunday afternoon, as well, so stay with Storm Team4's radar to see when the best time to head home should be.
Most importantly, keep an eye on the Storm Team4 radar during your Memorial Day cookout. There's a chance for an isolated storm, but most will likely have no reason to head inside Monday. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
