Man Wanted in D.C. Sex Assault, Kidnapping

D.C. Police are looking for a suspect in a sexual assault and kidnapping, and they say he may have attempted to assault two other victims.

Police released surveillance video of a sex assault and kidnapping that occurred around 11 a.m. March 1 in the 700 block of Barnes Street NE. A woma said she was accosted by the suspect, who then walked her across a footbridge and sexually assaulted her.

Officials now say that suspect's description matches that of two other incidents in the area this month -- a woman was approached by a stranger at the Minnesota Avenue Metro station Friday morning, who threatened to shoot her if she did not follow. The woman was able to get away before any contact. Police say about 20 minutes later, a man approached a woman near the same bridge on Barnes Street, asking her to "come here." The woman was able to escape.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s, approximately 5’7”, with a slim build, short black hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black skull cap, tan jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt with a single front pocket, white-washed blue jeans, and black and white Nike Jordan 3 shoes. He may go by the name "Moses."
