Man Pleads Guilty to Using Murdered AU Professor's Jeep

Mystery still remains as to who killed Sue Ann Marcum

A District man who was arrested for driving the Jeep of a murdered American University professor has pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Court records obtained by the Washington Examiner show that 18-year-old Deandrew Hamlin pleaded guilty on Tuesday in D.C. Superior Court.

Montgomery County prosecutors dropped theft charges in the case last week.  Hamlin was arrested after crashing the Jeep that belonged to Sue Ann Marcum.  She was found beaten and strangled to death in her Bethesda, Md., home back in October.

No one has been charged in Marcum's death.  The 52-year-old taught accounting classes at American University's business school.
