Arlington Man, 24, Dies Two Days After D.C. Crash

A 24-year-old Arlington man has died from injuries he suffered in an accident earlier this week.

Matthew Jeffrey Roth was driving south on 16th Street NW Sunday morning when the driver of an Acura in the northbound lanes lost control and struck his car. Police say the driver of the Acura was speeding at the time.

Roth was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died from those injuries Tuesday, police said.

The driver and a passenger in the Acura suffered injuries that are not life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed yet.
