The cold has returned, and with it come concerns about the region's most vulnerable population. Jurisdictions around the area are ready to help the homeless get out of the cold when temperatures dip below freezing.

D.C.'s Hypothermia Shelter Hotline provides transportation to emergency shelters, and distributes items such as blankets, gloves and jackets.
