Hop On the Megabus – to Frederick

Low-cost bus service adds stop between Pittsburgh and Washington.

The popular Megabus is rolling into Frederick, Md.

The low-cost bus service will begin making stops in Frederick next Wednesday as part of its daily route between Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.  The buses will stop at the Monocacy Rail Station on Genstar Drive at 11:10 a.m. and 6:50 p.m.

The company will offer one-way tickets for as low as $1 to people who book ahead.   Riders can book up to 45 days in advance and prices are cheaper the further in advance they are booked.

The 56-seat buses also offer free wi-fi and power outlets.  Megabus has become increasingly popular, especially among Washington-area residents looking to travel another one of the company's routes to New York City.
