Update, July 16, 2019: The case against Scott Matejov has been dismissed, Department of Justice spokeswoman Kadia Koroma said.
Matejov's attorney provided the following statement:
"The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia has dismissed all charges against Scott Matejov. While Mr. Matejov has no recollection of the events, he was able to provide medical documentation and hospital records to substantiate that he experienced a bad reaction to newly prescribed Ambien medication. Mr. Matejov wishes to express his sympathy for those negatively affected by this incident. Additionally, he would like to express his gratitude and sincere thanks to the police and medical staff who assisted him that evening."

A former Department of Homeland Security employee has been arrested and charged after allegedly touching a girl's buttocks while in line at Chick-fil-A.
Police say that 39-year-old Scott Matejov, of D.C., did not know the girl he allegedly targeted at the restaurant's location on Wisconsin Avenue in Tenleytown.
The girl was in the restaurant about 8 p.m. Tuesday when Matejov came behind her and tried to talk to her, according to a police report. The girl said she couldn't understand what Matejov was saying. Then, the report says, she felt his hand on her buttocks.

Video reviewed by detectives shows Matejov moving close to the girl and moving his hands, and then the girl looking back, the report says. The video shows the man stood there and then left the line a short time later. Matejov was stopped by police after sustaining some sort of injury, the report says. It's unclear how he was injured.
The girl stood in line until Matejov walked away. She then left Chick-fil-A and reported the abuse to an adult, who called 911, according to a police report.
The girl told police she had never seen the suspect until she was inside the Chick-Fil-a, but recognized Matejov when police stopped him, the report says.
Matejov was arrested and charged with misdemeanor child sexual abuse. He was taken to Sibley Memorial Hospital for his injuries, where doctors tested him for unknown substances, the police report says.
Matejov pleaded not guilty to the charges in court on Wednesday, records show. His attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, Matajov resigned his position as deputy director of advance on May 6.
DHS says it will conduct an internal review but is unaware of any allegations from his employment.
The main Department of Homeland Security campus is less than a mile from the Tenleytown Chick-fil-A.
