Police have released surveillance photos of a man who shot another man just feet from George Washington University Hospital and a busy Metro station Tuesday night.
Investigators say the two men were arguing with each other on the 900 block of 23rd Street NW when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim at 7:40 p.m.
The victim walked into the hospital's emergency room for help. Witnesses say he was shot outside the doors of the hospital.
A hospital spokewoman said the facility was briefly placed on lockdown.
On Wednesday, police released surveillance pictures of the suspect.
