A greyhound on her way to her new home is missing in northern Virginia
The dog was on her way to her new home when she escaped along Interstate 95 over the weekend near Telegraph Road in Dumfries. Sookie, a recently retired racedog, was last seen heading north.
Volunteers with the Greyt Expectations Greyhound Rescue think she might still be in the Dumfries or Quantico area.
Greyhounds can run at speeds of up to 45 mph, so she could be far away from where she was last seen.
Anyone who sees Sookie should contact Greyt Expectations.
