Good Cop, Bad Cop at Trial in Robert Wone Murder

Police double-team defendant on night D.C. attorney was killed

Courtroom drama today in the trial of three men accused of trying to cover up the murder of D.C. attorney Robert Wone.

Wone was found stabbed to death while staying overnight in their home in August 2006.

Today the police interview with one of the defendants on the night of the murder was introduced into evidence. Victor Zaborsky described for one detective how he woke up to screams and ran downstairs to find Wone dead in a bed, News4's Pat Collins reported. Another detective later told Zaborsky he was lying, and warned him that things would not go well for him if he ended up in D.C. jail.

This was the seventh day of testimony in the case, being tried before a judge.

In addition to Zaborsky, Joe Price and Dylan Ward are on trial.

No one has been charged with Wone's murder.
