FBI Investigating Three Recent Bank Robberies

The FBI is looking for three suspects in three bank robberies over two days this week.

But only one of the robbers left with any money, federal authorities said.

The first incident happened Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Wells Fargo branch in the 3300 block of 14th Street in northwest Washington. A man approached the teller and demanded money; he didn't get any and left the bank.

He's described as black, with a mustache and goatee. He was wearing a black suit and tie with a blue shirt and black sneakers. He also wore black sunglasses and a black knit hat with a brim.

In the second incident, a woman attempted to rob a Bank of America branch on Minnesota Avenue Thursday, the FBI said.

They say the woman came into the branch at about 12:30 p.m., approached the teller and demanded money. She didn't get any money and left the bank. She is described as black, wearing a black tank top, black sunglasses and wore purple latex gloves. She also was carrying a black handbag.

The third incident happened Friday at about 10:20 a.m. A man came into the PNC Bank inside the Giant Food Store in the 2900 block of South Glebe Road in Arlington and demanded money; he was given an undisclosed amount of money and left the store. He was described as black, with a full beard and mustache and shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was described as wearing a black and brown suit, black shoes, sunglasses and a black bag across his body.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of any of these bank robbers.
