Three teenagers and an adult were shot and injured Friday night near a high school in Northeast D.C., police said.
The four were believed to have been shot after 9 p.m. near Eastern Senior High School at 1700 East Capitol St. NE, north of the Stadium Armory Metro station, D.C. police said. The victims, a young man, two young women, and a man, were found on the school's outdoor basketball courts and were conscious and breathing.
A witness said multiple shots were fired between the Metro station and the school. Police said in an update late Friday they were looking into whether the victims were shot and then went to the school.
No information on a suspect was immediately released.
Eastern's basketball team played Ballou High School Friday night.
