Donate to Help Fallen Firefighters

In the wake of the tragic deaths of 19 firefighters in a wildfire in Arizona -- and the evacuation of a number of people in the community -- several groups are collecting donations to help.

One of those is in our area: The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, located in Maryland, has set up a special fund to collect donations. To give, click here.

The Red Cross also is collecting donations to help.

The Grand Canyon Chapter of the Red Cross has opened two shelters in Arizona, one in Prescott and one in Wickenburg, for those forced to evacuate because of the fire.

Red Cross workers are providing food, water and mental health support to those at the shelters, as well as staffing the local Emergency Operation Center.
