D.C. Council Considers New Child Sex Abuse Bill

A public hearing to be held today

The D.C. Council is considering new child sex abuse legislation today.

It's called the Child Sexual Abuse Reporting Act of 2012.

This new bill would require the reporting of any known child sex abuse to Police. Failure to report any known incidents would result in criminal penalties.

The Council's Judiciary Committee will hold a public hearing on the legislation at 11 a.m. today.
