Controversy Over Monument Renaming Recommendations

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s office is clarifying a report that recommended the renaming, removal or contextualizing of more than 150 monuments in the District. Some of those monuments sit on federal land like the Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial. News4’s Mark Segraves reports.
