A driver crashed into a Wendy's restaurant in Northeast Washington early Wednesday morning.
The crash on the plot of land known to some as "Dave Thomas Circle" happened just before 4 a.m. in the 100 block of New York Avenue NE. Video from the scene shows a car completely inside the restaurant.
The Wendy's was closed at the time of the crash. The driver suffered a minor injury.
The building suffered significant damage.
No additional details were released.
People who drive, walk and bike through the area called for the city to improve the flow of traffic in the area.
