FROM 2013: Arlington Renames Street for Marine Corps Marathon

One of the busiest streets in Arlington County is getting a new name -- temporarily.

The county will rename the portion of Wilson Boulevard between North Lynn and North Moore Streets in Rosslyn. Starting Monday, the road will be known as Marine Corps Marathon Drive, just in time for the Marine Corps Marathon.

County leaders will unveil the new street signs Monday afternoon. The name change will last through the week.

On Sunday, more than 30,000 runners will line up for the 38th annual Marine Corps Marathon.
