D.C. police are on the scene early Tuesday where a person was critically injured after being hit by a driver who fled the scene.
A pedestrian has been rushed to a hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene in Northwest D.C. early Tuesday.
The crash happened at 4th and T streets NW. The victim suffered life–threatening injuries.
The striking vehicle was described as a dark SUV. It was last seen heading north on 4th Street.
D.C. police are investigating.
Two blocks around the crash site were closed early Tuesday but have since reopened.
