Maryland Woman Had Stomach Removed to Prevent Cancer

Maryland woman Terri Beach found out she had a rare genetic mutation that increases the risk of gastric cancer by more than 80 percent — so she opted to have her stomach removed. “I wanted my kids to know that if they do have this gene, it’s OK, my mom did it and she’s fine.” News4’s Doreen Gentzler reports.
