Maryland Professor Documents Free Children Kidnapped Into Slavery

Prince George’s County Bureau Chief Tracee Wilkins dives into a new book by University of Maryland professor of history Richard Bell. Through his research, Bell tells the real-life stories of five free black boys who were kidnapped into slavery in the 1820s at the hands of a Maryland woman named Patty Cannon.
