A man was shot and killed Thursday on a basketball court in Laurel, Md., according to the Maryland National Capitol Park Police.
It happened at about 6:15 p.m. on the basketball court of the Deerfield Run Rec Center off of Laurel-Bowie Road.
The rec center is located within and on the property of the Deerfield Run Elementary School, which is a part of the Prince George's County school system.
Police have not released what led to the shooting, the victim's name, nor any suspect information.
