A 21-year-old man has been charged with raping a 17-year-old girl he met on a bus, Montgomery County police say.
Malachi Peter Raymond has been charged with second-degree rape and fourth-degree sexual offense.
The victim told police she and Raymond talked while they were on a Metrobus Monday night. When the bus stopped at the Twinbrook Metro station, police say the victim and Raymond got off and walked to a nearby parking garage.
Raymond tried to kiss the teen, but she refused his advances, according to police. Investigators say Raymond then raped the victim and walked her back to the Metro station after the sexual assault was over.
The victim was able to give police a description of Raymond, and detectives found surveillance footage of him on the bus and at the Twinbrook Metro station.
Police arrested him at his home Tuesday night.
