When it comes to weddings, couples in D.C., Maryland and Virginia face some of the steepest costs in the country. But in honor of Veterans Day, wedding vendors in Loudoun County are banding together to foot the bill for one military couple.
They've launched an essay contest to give a lucky couple the wedding of their dreams.
To be eligible to win, at least one member of the couple must be an active-duty military member or a current student at a military school. The judges will decide the winner in March, with the wedding set to happen next November at Kalero Vineyard in Purcellville, Virginia.
The winners will be able to invite up to 100 guests. Participating vendors will provide the food, wedding cake and other desserts, DJ music, a photo booth, hair and makeup, transportation, invitations, flowers and more.
The couple can be from our area, or anywhere in the country. The application is online here.
