A Lamborghini was split into two pieces when it smashed into a concrete light post in Northern Virginia, but its driver suffered only minor injuries, firefighters said Friday.
The crash happened overnight near a shopping center at Gallows Road and International Drive in Tysons Corner, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department said.
Photos posted on the agency's Twitter account showed the black supercar completely torn in half, with the rear end charred by flames that broke out after the impact. Damage was also visible on the front passenger side.
Medics treated the driver for minor injuries.
