For the second time in a week, a D.C. streetcar was involved in a minor accident along its route along H Street NE.
A minor crash involving a streetcar and another was reported around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of H Street and Florida Avenue NE.
"The car just moved in front of the streetcar really quickly and stopped so that created a collission from behind. We've had a couple of those situations," DDOT's Reggie Sanders said.
Last Sunday, a streetcar crashed into another car on H Street NE during "test mode."
Wednesday's crash was the ninth fender-bender for the streetcar since DDOT began testing in October 2014.
"There have been no injuries and wehave not been cited for any of them," Sanders told News4. "It's a learning curve for everybody and I think people are getting it. People are very excited about it."
The streetcar line hasn't opened to the public yet -- it's scheduled to open the week of Jan. 19. Newly-inaugurated D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has supported the streetcar project in her time as council member, but said she wants to rethink transportation plans and increasingly tight construction budgets for everything.

"We know we have ballooning construction costs in some of our big priority projects and a shrinking borrowing capacity that will force us to make tough choices," she said during her inaugural speech last weekend.
No one was injured and the streetcar didn't appear to have sustained any damage.
