A 77-year-old woman faces charges in the shooting of her boyfriend at a Virginia campsite.
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office accused Lillian Mae Levy, of Maryland, in the shooting of a 62-year-old Richmond man inside a camper at Wilderness Presidential Resorts off Route 3 Saturday morning.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the head and is hospitalized in critical but stable condition after several hours of surgery.
Levy was arraigned late Monday morning, according to the sheriff’s office. She is charged with attempted murder and is being held without bond, News4's David Culver reported.
The resort’s general manager, Al King, told News4 the couple frequently went to the campsite on weekends. He described Levy as friendly and talkative. The camper in which the alleged shooting occurred was not owned by the resort, King said.
