6 Prince George's Schools Closed Friday

School Without Walls Relocating

Thorough assessment of 32 Prince George’s County schools damaged by the East Coast earthquake continued Thursday.

A handful of schools buildings will remain closed Friday because of damage sustained in the East Coast earthquake.

In D.C., the School Without Walls will be closed, but classes will be conducted at Eastern High School. Crews are repairing the chimney and bell tower.

In Prince George's County, Md., six of more than 30 damaged schools still must be assessed for safety. These six schools will be closed Friday:

  • Beltsville Academy
  • Bradbury Heights ES
  • Port Towns ES
  • Potomac HS
  • Suitland ES
  • Forestville Military Academy
