A driver was arrested after hitting three juveniles in Silver Spring, Maryland, Monday amid a winter storm, then driving off.

Montgomery County police officers responded at about 5 p.m. to the 1700 block of Mt. Pisgah Lane, which is a block off New Hampshire Avenue just south of the Beltway.

A witness followed the driver to New Hampshire Avenue, police said.

Officers found the driver there and arrested them, police said.

The victims were taken to a hospital. Their injuries are not life-threatening, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear whether the victims are children or teens, or why the driver crashed.
