Police: 13-Year-Old Girl Raped in Southeast DC by 2 Men

Two 21-year-old men are facing a series of charges, including child sex abuse, accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in the District. The victim told police she repeatedly tried to say “no,” during an encounter that lasted more than two hours. News4’s Pat Collins reports.

A 13-year-old girl was raped by two men in the basement of a home in Southeast D.C., police said. 

The child was attacked on the 1700 block of 25th Street SE, about a half-mile south of Pennsylvania Avenue, about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, according to police. 

Maurice Delonte Dawkins and Joseph Reginald Ward, both 21, were arrested and charged with sexual assault and child sexual abuse. Dawkins was arrested Thursday, and Ward was arrested the following day. 

Additional information on the crime was not released immediately.
