1 man dead in police-involved shooting in Alexandria

Alexandria police shot and killed a man late Monday night at an apartment complex on Maris Avenue, police said. Police received a call saying that someone was in distress. When officers arrived on the scene, they confronted a man who had a gun in the stairwell , police say. News4’s Derrick Ward reports.
