Pancreas Transplant Can Cure Diabetes

A pancreas transplant cured a man of Type 1 diabetes. Before the transplant, the man battled diabetes for 17 years, including suffering through a diabetic coma and heart surgery. Now, he’s free of dialysis and insulin and can eat a normal, healthy diet. NBC4’s Doreen Gentzler reports.
