Not only can you learn some dance moves at the NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo, you can also watch a break-dancing battle!
Our Expo will host the first event in Competitive Breakin’ Leagues U.S. National tour -- the Mid-Atlantic South Regionals "Rock the Box," where people will compete to qualify for the U.S. National Breakin’ Championships.
Watch dancers start down the road to the U.S. national title with a series of dance-offs, including contests between children ages 5 to 12 and one-on-one dance battles for teens 13 to 17 years old and adults 18 and older.
Competitions will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, and the finals for each division will take place at 4 p.m. If you think you have what it takes to out-dance the competition, you can register to compete on the day of the contest from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The fun at the Expo will continue with workshops and performances on Sunday, Jan. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Workshops are for all ages and will be taught by professional dancers.
The Expo will be held Jan. 7 and 8 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Click here for complete schedules and hours.
