Dept. of Education cutting almost half its workforce

The U.S. Department of Education said it plans to cut around half of its workforce after it was announced that D.C. offices will be closed Wednesday. News4’s Walter Morris reports. Correction (Wednesday, March 12, 2025, 6 a.m.): The Department of Education said offices will be closed Wednesday and reopen Thursday.
