Contrary to some Internet reports, there was no explosion at Union Station today. The building's still standing and all is well.
Turns out a generator misfired in a nearby building, causing a loud noise and plume of smoke.
No injuries were reported, but some tickers may need to be readjusted after hearing the boom.
