Whose music will win during this DJ dance night at the at the 9:30 Club (815 V St. NW)? It's Lady Gaga and Madonna vs. Katy and Britney, with DJ Lil'e on the turntables to get everyone moving. 9 p.m.; $15.

Wolf Trap (1551 Trap Road, Vienna, Va.) hosts Garrison Keillor in an on-stage edition of "A Prairie Home Companion." Hear the News from Lake Wobegon, plus music and comedy sketches. 8 p.m.; $25-$55.

Friday night movies on the Potomac kick off for another summer at the National Harbor (168 National Plaza, National Harbor, Md.). The season's first flick is "Legally Bonde 2." After sunset; free.

D.C. pools open for the summer, from Anacostia to Volta Park. Nineteen pools dot the city -- see the full list here. Keep in mind, though, that for now they're only open on the weekends. They'll be open on weekdays starting June 21. Sat.-Sun., noon–6 p.m.; free for D.C. residents.

Jessica Paré's performance of "Zou Bisou Bisou" on "Mad Men" captivated and amused pretty much everyone earlier this spring -- how could La Maison Française (4101 Reservoir Road NW) not be tempted to capitalize on this? Their Zou Bisou Bisou Soirée, in conjunction with Brightest Young Things, features DJs Adrian Loving, TMY and AutoRock, with music from Sean Peoples, Wytold, Victoria Vox and more. A variety show will showcase burlesque and stand-up. 8 p.m.-1 a.m.; $20 in advance.

R&B/soul artist Lalah Hathaway takes the stage at the Howard Theatre (620 T St. NW). Her sixth studio album, 2011's "Where It All Begins," is a favorite of both critics and fans. 6 p.m. doors; 7:30 p.m. show; $55 in advance; $60 day of show.

The National Memorial Day Concert, hosted by Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise, features Trace Adkins, Daughtry, the National Symphony Orchestra and more on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. Go early to get a good spot, and don't forget your picnic. 8-9:30 p.m.; Sunday.

DJs will be spinning '80s, '90s and early '00s grooves at the Grown & Sexy Throwback Affair -- open only to those age 25 and up. Go for classic hip-hop, house, R&B and reggae at Public Bar (4611 41st St. NW). 9 p.m.-3 a.m.; $10 in advance; $15 at the door; ladies free before 11 p.m.

Artomatic continues its month of art events "by artists, for everyone." Located in a former office building (1851 S. Bell St., Arlington) slated for demotion, Artomatic offers 10 floors of art by more than 1,000 artists, plus performances, live music, film, fashion, workshops and seminars. 6 p.m. Free; through June 24.

The National Memorial Day Parade will roll down Constitution Avenue, featuring Buzz Aldrin, Major General Chuck Yeager, Gary Sinise, and more, plus musical performances by Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler, "American Idol" winner Kris Allen, G. Love and others. The parade also offers a special tribute to those who served in Iraq, and the 50th anniversary of the start of the Vietnam War. The parade will begin at 7th Street NW and end at 17th; see the route map here. 2 p.m.; free.

Policy (1904 14th St. NW) throws its second annual Crab Festival, with all-you-can-eat crabs and sides, plus beer specials (of course), music and other entertainment. Noon-5 p.m.; $35.

Cork Market (1805 14th St. NW) hosts a Memorial Day Grill Out with artisanal sausages including lamb merguez, garlic kielbasa and French country. Noon-4 p.m.; sausages $9.

William Jeffrey's Tavern (2301 Columbia Pike, Arlington) is throwing a Memorial Day Rooftop Pig Roast, dishing up all-you-can-eat pork, fried chicken and side items. 1 p.m. opening; 3-7 p.m. food; $50 for food + two drinks.
