Ralph Lauren Dog Tags for Parkinson's

Tracy Pollan, wife of actor Michael J. Fox who was diagnosed in 1991 with Parkinson's disease and has been a strong supporter ever since, had been thinking about designing a dog tags with inspirational sayings to raise money for the disease, when she happened to meet Ralph Lauren's brother, Jerry Lauren, WWD reports.

She was browsing original World War I and World War II dog tags in Lauren's East Hampton boutique with her son, when Mr. Lauren, introduced himself and she explained her idea. From there, a collaboration was born.

In honor of Parkinsonโ€™s Awareness Month in April, Ralph Lauren is offering limited edition dog tags engraved with one of two inspirational phrases, โ€œBe Boldโ€ and โ€œBe Inspired" ($95). The necklaces are available at Ralph Lauren stores in New York, Greenwich, Dallas, Beverly Hills, and Chicago, as well as the Ralph Lauren website.
