"Hills" star Lauren Conrad is headed to the bargain racks.
The bubbly blonde who sports pricey designer duds and bemoans her boy-crazy privileged life on popular the MTV reality show will introduce a new clothing line for Kohl's department stores this fall.
"It is a California chic line," she told Usmagazine.com."It is a little more casual. They are basically trying to take that California style and make it accessible everywhere."
The low-priced "LC Lauren Conrad" line includes shoes, jewelry, handbags intimate sand sleepwear will range in from $20 to $60, the magazine reported.
"Now that the economy's not doing so well, I think it's everybody that's looking for bargains," Conrad told the New York Times. "I think that it's actually great timing."
The pint-sized fashionista is the star of the reality series that launched her to semi-celebrity status as cameras documented her foray into living on her own -- attending lavish cocktail parties, rubbing elbow with elites and coping with breakups.
"My family has always shopped at Kohl's, so I've always known about them and I think that they do a really great job," Conrad said. "I like having a lot more of an eclectic style where you mix high ends and more affordable pieces."
