John Lennon Art Comes to Georgetown

John Lennon will be in the District for one weekend only.

An art show in Georgetown will showcase the former member of the Beatles’ original drawings from 1968 through 1980, according to CityShopGirl. The exhibit will feature over 100 pieces of art created by Lennon from Thursday through Sunday.

Legacy Fine Art & Productions teamed up with Yoko Ono and the Estate of John Lennon to create the art exhibitions 15 years ago. Since then they have raised thousands of dollars for local and national charities worldwide.

Serigraphs, lithographs, copper etchings and aqua tints of Lennon’s drawings, also signed by Yoko Ono, will be on display. Pieces include song lyrics and the “Real Love” children’s drawings.

Admission is a suggested $2 donation. Proceeds will benefit the Capital Area Food Bank.
