WASHINGTON — A student at Freedom High School in Chantilly, Virginia, is charged as a juvenile with five felonies after investigators say he recorded video of other students while they were undressed.
The five counts of illegally filming people under the age of 18 include two cases of “upskirting,” and more charges may be coming.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office says the 16-year-old from Chantilly used a small device to record students in a school restroom, a locker room and at some school events.
The sheriff’s office says several victims have been identified and notified, and there’s no indication that the videos were distributed in any way.
On Feb. 8, a student told school leaders they believed they were being recorded while in the school restroom.
The school then contacted the sheriff’s office to investigate.
